During a social experiment, I made the decision to experience homelessness firsthand, to strip life down to its raw essentials and understand what it truly means to survive with nothing. In the chaos of that world, the only thing that grounded me was a small, tattered poetry book I stumbled upon by chance. It was filled with the timeless works of great poets like Rumi, Edgar Allan Poe, Charles Bukowski, and others. Their words were my solace, each poem a lifeline to something deeper, a reminder of beauty in the midst of hardship.
I devoured those poems, falling in love with their rhythm, depth, and emotion. But as much as I loved them, I often thought: What if these poems could be more than words? What if they were visual, alive in a way that could capture their essence in new dimensions? That idea became my beacon, a dream that stayed with me even after I left homelessness behind.
Today, that dream is my reality. I created Poetis.me, a website dedicated to bringing poetry to life through video. My mission is simple: to transform the greatest poems into stunning visual experiences that touch hearts and inspire minds. Poetry saved me when I had nothing, and now I want to share that gift with the world—one video at a time. Through Poetis.me, I hope to make poetry accessible, captivating, and unforgettable for all.
